Terms of Use

The Service is intended to be used by a parent, guardian, or teacher ("you") on behalf of the children you are responsible for. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, dashboard PIN, and any student PINs, and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to create an account. We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts on their own. You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep it current.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Misrepresent your identity or your relationship to any student profile you create.
• Attempt to access another user's account, data, or student profiles without authorization.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or its security features.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code or proprietary data.

The Service offers optional paid subscriptions billed on a recurring monthly basis until cancelled. Subscription titles, lengths, and prices are displayed in the app before you start checkout. When you subscribe, your card is charged today and on a recurring monthly basis thereafter through our payment provider, Stripe, until you cancel.

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals; you retain access through the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods except where required by law.

Promo codes, where offered, grant a limited period of free access as described at redemption and are subject to their own terms. We may modify pricing for new or renewing subscribers with reasonable advance notice.

You provide student profile information, custom words, and notes for use within the Service. You retain ownership of the content you submit. You grant us a limited license to host, store, and use that content solely to provide and improve the Service for you.

You may delete your account and student profiles at any time from the dashboard, which removes the associated data. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion, with notice where appropriate.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any educational outcome will result from its use.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Stellar Speller and its providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
